Commercial Services Pump Systems Booster Sets
Booster sets

A booster set is a neat and cost effective way to install pumps to your system. Booster sets are compact and often contain more than one pump. By having multiple pumps you can share the working load of your water pumps whilst having a back up if you get a failure. The other water pump will automatically take the load of your system requirements until you manage to rectify the fault. It is important to get failed water pumps repaired as if your ‘backup’ eventually fails you will be left without water when it’s critical to your system.

Booster Sets and Pump System Maintenance at DWP Services

Single pump systems

Single pumps are a good way to keep costs down. Depending on your system requirements, a single pump specification can be obtained to take the entire load of the system. With increasingly more advanced technology, reliability has never been better so with a correctly designed system and good service, you can be satisfied that your single pump system will be up to the job.

Existing booster sets and pump systems.

Many commercial buildings have existing pump system that have little or no maintenance. It is important to keep your booster pump system looked after which can prevent failures resulting in a loss of water in the system.

We carry out maintenance and repairs on existing booster sets and pump systems giving the customer peace of mind that they have someone to call on if anything goes wrong. Here we have an old Grundfos PMU system where the PCB failed in the unit. We were called out to try and rectify the fault, due to the failed PCB we rewired the booster set and managed to install a MULTI-E system and got the water back on to the property.

Fixed or Variable speed?

Choosing between fixed and variable speed pumps can be tricky. There are a few factors to consider which often cause reason for debate. With the correct design and water pump set up, both these options are viable. Fixed speed pumps are cheaper due to not requiring an inverter drive and excess electronics to alter the speed of the pump depending on demand. Variable speed pumps do cost more to buy and install but draw much less current than a fixed speed pump. You can set a variable speed water pump to run at a chosen pressure within the pumps performance. Variable speed drives are an excellent way of saving money due to only running the water pumps to the point of requirement only. By not running the water pumps at 100% all the time the energy saving can be great helping you save money whilst being energy efficient. Bespoke design

No two projects are the same. All customers want value for money and reliability therefore, bespoke pump systems are often a first choice. By designing a site specific booster set we can ensure it is user friendly and you can have more input on what parts are used to suit your budget. Consideration is also required for the location of your booster unit, for example if it needs to be stored in a loft space the mechanical noise is worth consideration. If your unit is in an outbuilding is it protected from frost or damp? These factors can be assessed with a site survey and we can advice you accordingly with the most reliable and cost effective way to design your system.

Circulation

There are many heating, hot water and cooling circulation pumps on the market. Whilst these require little or no maintenance checks, repairs will always be required. We offer knowledge in Commonly found Wilo, DAB, Grundfos TPED, Magna3, Lowara Ecocirc, and Hydrovar inverter circulators.

Pressurisation units

A smart way of automatically maintaining system pressure on heating and chilled systems without using a manual filling loop. We offer pressurisation unit and service expertise.

Commercial Service Repair Maintenance Pump Systems
Commissioning.

Commissioning of booster sets, circulator pumps and pressurisation units is critical for efficient and long term reliability of water pumps. With a wide understanding of products and how they can benefit individual systems. If you require commissioning of newly installed water pumps of any sort including Grundfos, Xylem lowara, DAB, Wilo do not hesitate to contact us with your requirements to see if we can help you.

Service, repair or maintenance contracts.

All pressurised equipment requires service. Also in time electrical and mechanical parts can either wear out or develop faults. This can be caused by any number of issues but can be resolved with the correct skill and knowledge. No matter if its a Grundfos, Xylem lowara, DAB, Wilo you have a water pump or system that requires service or maintenance contact us to see if we can help you.
